Established in early 2010, Euro Latina Finance is a truly independent financial advisory firm specialized in cross-border transactions between Europe and Latin America.

With fully operational regional offices and local teams in Paris, São Paulo, and Medellín, Euro Latina Finance provides tailor-made M&A and strategic advice to a portfolio of blue-chip clients. The firm typically advises minority and majority deals ranging from US$100m to US$1bn+ in transaction value across a wide array of sectors. Since its inception, Euro Latina Finance has advised 20 successful deals on a total of c. 55 M&A projects, including some of the most complex, transformational, and landmark cross-border transactions into/from Latin America.

Hakim Aouani
CEO and Founder

Before founding Euro Latina Finance in early 2010, Hakim Aouani spent twelve years at listed French retailer Casino as member of the Management Board and Head of worldwide Mergers & Acquisitions, Equity Investments and Corporate Affairs

Between 1998 and 2010, he led the transformation of the Group, supervising over eighty M&A, capital market and real estate closed transactions. As part of his duties, he was also in charge of managing and optimizing Casino’s strategic investments both in France and internationally, in particular the group’s $5bn investment in Latin America (including $3bn invested in Pão de Açucar in Brazil and $1bn invested in Almacenes Éxito in Colombia)

This led him to supervise key strategic aspects ranging from financing, refinancing, corporate governance and build-up strategy, among others, and to serve as member of the Supervisory Boards of several listed corporations including Smart & Final Inc. (US) and Super de Boer NV (Netherlands), as well as Casino’s subsidiaries in Latin America

Prior to Casino, he spent eight years in investment banking at Banque Worms (today Deutsche Bank) and HSBC, working respectively in LBO financing and M&A

Hakim Aouani is a graduate of Supélec Engineering School (Paris) and HEC (Paris). He is a French national and also holds the Italian and Moroccan citizenships. He speaks fluently French, English, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish and Arabic

Marie Ledru
Vice-President (Paris)

Marie Ledru joined Euro Latina Finance in 2013 after spending six years at French listed retailer Casino, where she mostly worked on M&A and business development projects with a particular focus on Latin America.

​​As part of Casino’s Corporate Development and Holdings department, she worked for four years on several M&A projects in Europe, Latin America and South East Asia and was actively involved in the strategic and financial management of the group’s main international investments.

She then joined GreenYellow, Casino’s energy subsidiary, as deputy CFO. For two years, she participated in the structuring and financing of solar and energy efficiency projects as well as in the international development of GreenYellow in Colombia and Brazil.

Marie Ledru is a HEC (Paris) graduate. She is a French national and speaks fluent French, English, Spanish and Portuguese.

An avid rock climber of more than 25 years, Marie Ledru is more broadly a mountain enthusiast (from regular hiking to treks in the Alps and the Andes).

Andres Martinez
Vice-President (Medellin)

Andrés Martínez has re-joined Euro Latina Finance in 2016 after working with our company in Paris and Medellín between 2010 and 2013.

​Between 2013 and 2016, he was vice-president at Grupo Bancolombia, the leading banking institution in Colombia, where he led more than 15 ECM transactions with a combined value of c. US$2bn. He was also in charge of the non-discretionary equity strategy of the firm.

Between 2003 and 2010, he was head of international investments at Valores Bancolombia. He also worked in the foundation and management of Suvalor Panama, the international brokerage firm of Bancolombia Group.

Andrés Martínez is an engineering graduate from EAFIT (Medellín) and holds a Master's in finance from Université Panthéon-Assas (Paris) as well as a Master's in quantitative methods from Université Paris X (Paris). He is a Colombian national and speaks fluent Spanish, French and English.

Andrés Martínez is a long-distance running enthusiast and has successfully completed the New York, Chicago and Washington marathons, in addition to more than a dozen half-marathons.
